Built by Edwin Lutyens during the British rule, the India War Memorial commemorates the martyr Indian soldiers of various wars, by inscribing their names on the walls of the monument. This marvel of architecture houses the flame of the immortal warrior - the Amar Jawan Jyoti that is incessantly burning since 1971.

Also known as the Yantra (Instrument) Mandir (Temple), Jantar Mantar was built by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Jaipur for personal use. The structure, consisting of a collection of architectural astronomy instruments, was used to compile astronomical tables and predict time and movement of the sun, moon and planets for Maharaja, to serve the purpose of astrology.
